Layer 1 – Refried Beans:

  • 1 can (15 oz) refried beans

  • 1 tsp taco seasoning (optional for added flavor)

Layer 2 – Guacamole:

  • 2 large ripe avocados, mashed

  • Juice of 1 lime

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp garlic powder

Layer 3 – Seasoned Sour Cream:

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • ½ tsp cumin

  • ½ tsp chili powder

Layer 4 – Salsa:

  • ¾ cup chunky salsa, drained well

Layer 5 – Shredded Cheese:

  • 1½ cups shredded Mexican cheese blend or cheddar

Layer 6 – Diced Tomatoes:

  • 1 cup diced fresh tomatoes or drained canned tomatoes

Layer 7 – Toppings:

  • ½ cup sliced black olives

  • ½ cup chopped green onions

  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)


Instructions

Step 1: Make the Refried Bean Base

  1. Mix refried beans with taco seasoning in a bowl until well combined.

  2. Spread the mixture evenly in the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish.

Step 2: Add the Guacamole Layer
3. In a separate bowl, mash the avocados with lime juice, salt, and garlic powder.
4. Gently spread the guacamole over the bean layer.

Step 3: Layer the Seasoned Sour Cream
5. Stir together sour cream, cumin, and chili powder in a bowl.
6. Spread this seasoned mixture over the guacamole.

Step 4: Add the Salsa
7. Spoon the well-drained salsa over the sour cream layer. Spread evenly to cover.

Step 5: Sprinkle the Cheese
8. Evenly sprinkle the shredded cheese over the salsa.

Step 6: Add the Fresh Layers
9. Top with diced tomatoes, sliced olives, green onions, and optional cilantro.

Step 7: Chill & Serve
10. Cover the dip with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
11. Serve cold with tortilla chips, pita chips, or fresh veggies.
