Ingredients
For the Salmon Bites:
-
1 lb skinless salmon fillet, cut into 1-inch cubes
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
-
½ teaspoon salt
-
¼ teaspoon black pepper
For the Hot Honey Glaze:
-
¼ cup honey
-
1–2 teaspoons hot sauce (such as Sriracha or Frank’s Red Hot)
-
Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes for extra heat
Optional Garnishes:
-
Chopped fresh parsley or green onions
-
Sesame seeds
-
Lime wedges
Instructions
Step 1: Season the Salmon
In a mixing bowl, toss the cubed salmon with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
Step 2: Air Fry the Salmon
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the salmon pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the salmon bites are golden brown and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
Step 3: Make the Hot Honey Glaze
While the salmon is cooking, combine the honey and hot sauce in a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl. Heat for about 15 seconds, then stir well to combine. For extra heat, add red pepper flakes to taste.
Step 4: Drizzle & Serve
Once the salmon bites are done, transfer them to a serving dish. Drizzle with the hot honey glaze and garnish with chopped parsley, sesame seeds, or lime wedges if desired.
Notes
Cut Even Pieces – Make sure the salmon cubes are uniform in size for even cooking and crisping.
Adjust the Spice – Add more or less hot sauce to customize the heat to your liking.
Don’t Overcrowd the Basket – Cook in batches if necessary to ensure the salmon bites get crispy on all sides.
Fresh Ingredients – Use fresh honey and your favorite hot sauce for the best flavor.
