Chill in the freezer for 10–15 minutes to firm up for easier shaping.
Step 2: Roll into Balls
-
Scoop out about 1 tablespoon of the chilled mixture and roll into 1-inch balls.

Place on a tray lined with parchment paper.
-
Freeze for 10 more minutes to help them hold their shape during coating.

-
Place flour in the first shallow bowl.
-
Beat the egg in the second bowl.
-
Combine panko breadcrumbs, salt, and paprika in the third bowl.
Step 4: Bread the Cheese Balls

Roll each ball in flour, then dip in the beaten egg, then coat in panko breadcrumbs.
-
For extra crunch, repeat the egg and breadcrumb steps.

Heat 2–3 inches of oil in a deep skillet or saucepan to 350°F (175°C).

-
Sprinkle with fresh herbs or serve on top of a salad for a fancy touch.

Enjoy while the centers are warm and creamy.
Notes
Chill the Cheese – Cold cheese is easier to shape and holds up better when frying.
Double Bread – For an extra crunchy coating, repeat the egg and breadcrumb steps.
Use Panko – These breadcrumbs give the crispiest texture.
Don’t Overcrowd the Pan – Fry in small batches to keep the oil temperature consistent.
Pair with Dips – Serve with fruit chutneys, aioli, or spicy jam for a fun flavor combo.
