Ingredients:

  • 1 package (3 oz) Jell-O (choose your favorite flavor—like strawberry, lime, or orange for a pastel color effect)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping (such as Cool Whip)
  • 1 graham cracker crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • Optional garnishes: whipped cream, colorful sprinkles, or mini candy eggs for decoration

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Jell-O:
    • In a medium bowl, dissolve the Jell-O in the boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved.
    • Add the cold water and mix. Set it aside to cool for about 10-15 minutes, allowing it to come to room temperature.
  2. Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture:
    • In a separate large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
  3. Combine Jell-O and Cream Cheese:
    • Slowly add the cooled Jell-O mixture into the cream cheese, mixing well until fully combined and smooth.
  4. Fold in the Whipped Topping:
    • Gently fold in the whipped topping, mixing until everything is fluffy and well incorporated.
  5. Fill the Crust:
    • Pour the mixture into the graham cracker crust and spread it evenly.
  6. Chill the Pie:
    • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until fully set. Overnight chilling is ideal for the best results.
  7. Garnish and Serve:
    • Before serving, top the pie with whipped cream, colorful sprinkles, or Easter-themed mini candy eggs.

Tips:

  • Use any flavor of Jell-O you like, but pastel colors such as pink, yellow, or green work wonderfully for an Easter theme.
  • For a layered effect, you can divide the Jell-O mixture into separate bowls, using different flavors/colors, and layer them for a fun, multi-colored pie.
  • If you prefer a homemade crust, simply mix 1 1/2 cups crushed graham crackers with 1/4 cup sugar and 1/2 cup melted butter. Press into a pie dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes, then cool before filling.
