Instructions
Step 1: Make the Graham Cracker Crust
In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and sugar.
Add melted butter and stir until the mixture resembles wet sand.
Press into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish.
Chill the crust in the refrigerator while you prepare the filling.
Step 2: Prepare the Jello Mixture
In a medium bowl, dissolve the orange Jello in ½ cup boiling water.
Add ½ cup cold water and stir well.
Let it cool for 10–15 minutes, but do not allow it to set.
Step 3: Make the Orange Cream Filling
In a large bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract.
Gradually stir in the cooled orange Jello mixture until smooth.
Gently fold in the whipped topping until light and creamy.
Step 4: Fill and Chill
Pour the filling into the prepared crust and smooth the top with a spatula.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until fully set.
For best results, chill overnight.
Step 5: Garnish and Serve
Before serving, top with extra whipped topping, a sprinkle of orange zest, or slices of orange for a fresh, bright finish.
Slice and serve chilled.
Notes
Cool the Jello – Let it cool slightly so it doesn’t melt the whipped topping.
Fold, Don’t Stir – Folding keeps the filling fluffy and light.
Crust Options – Use vanilla wafer crumbs or a store-bought crust if preferred.
Make it Zesty – Add orange zest to the filling for a bolder citrus kick.
Keep it Cold – This pie is best served chilled straight from the fridge.
