Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese (small curd, drained if very wet)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat & Prepare

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2: Mix the Dough

  1. In a large bowl, mix cottage cheese, egg, melted butter, sugar, and salt until well combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk flour and baking powder together.
  3. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.

Step 3: Shape the Rolls

  1. Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop small mounds of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  2. (Optional) Lightly brush the tops with melted butter for a golden finish.

Step 4: Bake & Serve

 

  1. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the rolls are lightly golden and firm to the touch.
  2. Let cool slightly, then enjoy warm with butter, honey, or jam!

Notes

Don’t Overmix – Stir just until combined for a tender texture.
Use Small Curd Cottage Cheese – It blends better into the dough.
Adjust Texture – If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour.
